Your response rate and response time measure how quickly and consistently you respond to inquiries and booking requests. You can find your response rate on your profile under contact. If you don't see a response rate, there's not enough data to calculate your response rate yet.
It’s important to focus on your response rate because it impacts your search placement and thus the number of gigs you'll receive subsequently. Your response time gives event organizers an idea of how quickly they will hear from you but has less impact on your search rank.
Response rate
Your response rate is the percentage of new events and booking requests you responded to (by either accepting or declining) within a week in the past 30 days.
If an organizer sends a message, you’ll need to respond to the inquiry within 7 days to maintain your response rate. If the guest sends you a booking request, you’ll need to accept or decline it within 7 days to maintain your response rate.
Responses after 7 days count as a late response, which will decrease your response rate. Your response rate can impact your position in search results.
Your response rate isn't affected by follow-up messages between you and the organizer. You don't have to send the final message in a conversation to maintain your response rate.
Response time
Your response time is the average amount of time that it took for you to respond to all new messages and gigs in the past 30 days.
Only the first response to a gig counts affects your response time. You don't have to send the final message in a conversation to maintain your response time.
Tips to improve response rate and response time
To improve your response rate and response time, do the following as soon as you can after receiving an inquiry or gig:
- Accept or decline the gig as soon as possible
- Send a message to the organizer
- Enable instant offer to automatically respond to the gig (see pricing settings)
- Use the Cueup App to get notified about new gigs
More info
If you’ve received fewer than 10 new gigs in the past 30 days, your response rate and response time will be based on the 10 most recent gigs from the last 365 days.
Only direct requests are used for calculating your response rate, opportunities do not affect your response rate.
Response rates and response times can take up to 24 hours to update.
